Correct Restrictive & Exclusionary Policies
WorkWell MN is brimming with well-informed insights and fresh perspectives to forge fruitful collaborations with lawmakers, local and state government, funders, and employers. To achieve the large-scale workforce pipeline growth our state needs, we must modify restrictive policies and employment practices that have excluded a multitude of motivated and able Minnesotans from eligibility and access. Changing these policies and practices will open the door to sidelined workers who are eager to be valued employees, and who can substantially boost our workforce talent system pipeline—here and now.
Promote New Narratives
It is vitally important to challenge common, inaccurate and often damaging narratives about Minnesota’s untapped jobseekers. WorkWell MN will align and unite with other worker movements to amplify more legitimate, strength-based perspectives—promoting the true human story of adaptability and capability. Our priorities also include advocating for family sustaining wages, benefits, and career advancement with the ultimate goal of wealth building.

Collectively, WorkWell MN is a network of reputable non-profits—on the ground and embedded in community. We’ve developed strong and trusted relationships with underserved communities (black, brown, Indigenous people, returning citizens, immigrants, refugees—young and old) and can provide easy access to engage many who are waiting to skill-up and earn living wages.
