WorkWell submits response to Governor’s Anti-Fraud Proposal
Sharing the importance of DIVERSE FUNDING SOURCES FOR our work
On Thursday, April 9 the State Government Finance and Policy Committee is holding a hearing on the Governor’s Supplemental Budget Bill. Governor Walz’s proposals include many provisions to prevent and detect fraud in State expenses, including one provision to prohibit legislatively-named grants, also known as Direct Appropriations. Many WorkWell members rely on Direct Appropriations among other funding sources to support jobseekers and employers. WorkWell submitted the attached letter to the Committee to be included in Committee packets as they consider the Governor’s proposals.
